Land Assemblage

Midland Properties has extensive experience in assembling large sites for a multitude of end users ranging from governmental agencies to private businesses. Some of the larger projects over the years have included:

Client: City of Springfield and Community Mercy Health Partners
Project: Acquired 235 parcels (44 acres) in the downtown area including warehouses, retail businesses, gas station, multi-family and single-family residential properties. The project management role included contact and scheduling, negotiation and closing, relocation of individuals and businesses (under the HUD Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act), post close management and demolition coordination. The three year project finished in late 2008 and will allow for the construction of a new hospital campus to serve the greater Springfield community.

Client: Springfield City Schools
Project: Acquired 80 parcels adjacent to all the existing city schools to permit expansion of campuses and to allow for the construction of all new city school buildings. Project also involved the sale of excess school parcels.

Client: Springfield City Schools
Project: Acquired 65 residential and vacant parcels to renovate and expand an inner city high school.

Client: City of Springfield
Project: Acquired 51 parcels of real estate in the center city business area from over 109 different owners for clearance and redevelopment.
